Welcome to Primary Section

Children in this stage of education continue to develop foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. The focus is on creating a safe and inclusive environment that promotes a sense of belonging and acceptance among students from diverse backgrounds. To achieve this, teachers integrate a variety of perspectives into their lesson plans and encourage students to share their cultural experiences. Additionally, support services, such as language assistance, are provided to students who are English language learners or who speak languages other than the primary language of instruction.

At FSIS, we firmly believe that creating a diverse and inclusive environment is essential for providing a positive and fulfilling learning experience for everyone. We are committed to promoting these values across our school community, from kindergarten through 7th grade. We have developed a comprehensive plan to structure our school with a strong emphasis on fostering diversity and inclusion. This approach has enabled us to create a more supportive and collaborative environment, allowing all our students and faculty to thrive and reach their full potential.

Our Objectives

We aim to provide a thoughtfully designed and engaging environment that supports the development of foundational habits, attitudes, skills, and ideas, which promote creative thinking and learning in children. Children in their early years possess immense curiosity and potential to learn. To help them unleash their full potential, we provide a safe and friendly learning environment that encourages exploration of new concepts throughout the academic year.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to cater to the diverse learning needs of our learners. Our educational approach aligns with the American curriculum, which adheres to the Common Core Standards (CSS) for English and Mathematics, and the Next Generation Standards (NGSS) for Science. We strictly adhere to the Ministry of Education's (MOE) requirements for National Identity subjects such as Islamic Education, Arabic Language, and Social Studies.

Our enriched curriculum aims to ensure a seamless transition from K-6 and incorporates a wide range of curricular and extracurricular activities across all levels, including KG students. These activities are intended to support students' interests, provide opportunities for individual growth, and foster leadership skills.

It is our belief that this curriculum design helps nurture a generation of learners who are well-rounded, equipped with a sound educational foundation, and prepared to be effective leaders of tomorrow.
